How does Longarm Academy 2020 work?
To book a place, delegates at our Longarm Academy 2020 will be required to register as either a Sitdown, Standup or Pro Stitcher (computerised quilting) user.
Separating into 3 programmes in this way will allow more choice of classes for each delegate .For each programme, delegates will attend a mandatory "Core Programme" and will then be able to select Optional Classes from a fabulous selection offered by our Academy Teachers - Helen Godden, Lynda Jackson, Telene Jeffrey, Melissa Kruschwitz and Annelize Littlefair.

When can I book?
All Qualified Handi Quilter Owners can book. If you are not a Handi Quilter owner and you book a place we will need to cancel it.
Are you a Qualified Handi Quilter Owner? If you have received an email saying that you are a Qualified Handi Quilter Owner you don't need to take any further action. You will automatically receive the email on how to book.
Am I a Qualified Handi Quilter Owner
If you wish to ensure that you get the details for Academy 2020 then you will need to re-subscribe to the Pinhole Quilting Customers (if you purchased a machine from us) or Handi Quilter Owners (if you purchased from The Cotton Patch, from overseas or are a seconduser owner) lists. You will need to provide details of the machine you have.
How Do I Book?
A successful booking will guarantee you a place on the 2020 Academy Core Programme, subject to the Booking Conditions. You will not be required to select the Optional Classes during the initial Booking process. There will be a separate process for this at a later date, which you will be notified of after booking.
The price includes:
All your Core Programme and Optional Classes during the event
Supply of appropriate machines and frames for the classes
All materials required for each class
Tea, coffee and lunches
Provision of teachers, class assistants and technical support
Trunk show with Helen Godden on first evening
Gala Dinner on final evening with Keynote Presentation by Telene Jeffrey
What about Payment?
Payment is in two stages: initial deposit of £300 at time of Booking online via our website. We take VISA Debit, VISA Credit and Mastercard. We don't take American Express.
To secure accommodation at Hogarths we ask for a £50 deposit. A link will be sent to the Hotel Booking option on the email that confirms your place.
A £25 deposit will secure a place in our private dining room for non-resident delegates. This is a three-course dinner for three nights (Monday to Wednesday) and costs £105. The balance of £80 is due 29th February 2020.
The balance of all payments is payable by 29th February 2020. The balance can be paid by card or bank transfer and further details will be sent in early 2020.
Is there an Accommodation Option?
The venue for Academy 2020 is the 4* Hogarths Hotel near Solihull.
We can offer Dinner, Bed & Breakfast at Hogarths from Monday 27th April check-in to Friday 1st May check-out for £450 (single room).
For delegates sharing a room, the price is £315 per person for Dinner, Bed and Breakfast from Monday 27th April check-in to check-out on Friday 1st May 2020.
We also have a limited number of places reserved for Sunday 26th April 2020 at a cost of £100 for a Single Bed and Breakfast or £120 for a Double including Breakfast. You can select this option during the booking process.
You will be able to select accommodation after the initial booking process. A link will be provided on your confirmation email. A deposit of £50 is required at time of booking. The balance of the Accommodation is payable by 29th February 2020.
If you wish to stay locally and have dinner at Hogarths we can offer dinner only option for three nights at £105 in our private dining room. Dinner booking is for all three nights - we cannot offer selection of specific nights. It is a reduced selection three course menu and will be chosen during the day. A £25 deposit secures your place for this option.
